Actor Mushtaq Khan, known for his role in Stree 2, has come forward to share a harrowing incident where he was allegedly kidnapped. This comes shortly after comedian Sunil Pal reported a similar experience. Mushtaq's business partner, Shivam Yadav, spoke about the ordeal to India Today. According to Shivam, the actor was invited to an award show in Meerut on November 20. He had even received an advance payment and flight tickets for the event. However, when Mushtaq landed in Delhi and got into a car provided by the organizers, he was driven to a secluded location near Bijnor, on the outskirts of the city.
For nearly 12 hours, Mushtaq was held captive and tortured. The kidnappers demanded a ransom of ₹1 crore. Ultimately, they managed to extract over ₹2 lakh from the actor and his son's bank accounts. Mushtaq managed to escape when he heard the morning azaan (call to prayer) and realized a mosque was nearby. Using the opportunity, he fled and sought help from locals, who assisted him in contacting the police. He safely returned home later that day.

Shivam shared, "Mushtaq sir and his family were completely shaken by the incident. Once he gathered himself, he was determined to take legal action. Yesterday, I went to Bijnor to file an official FIR. We have strong evidence, including flight tickets, bank transactions, and CCTV footage from the airport. Mushtaq sir also remembers the neighbourhood and the house where he was kept. We are hopeful that the police will catch the culprits soon."
The incident bears a striking resemblance to the recent case involving comedian Sunil Pal. While the two cases seem unrelated at first glance, they raise concerns about a possible syndicate targeting celebrities under the guise of event invitations. Shivam further added, "We had no idea about Sunil Pal’s case until the media covered it. It is shocking that two public figures had to go through such traumatic experiences. We hope this raises awareness and ensures better protection for everyone in the industry." Mushtaq Khan is said to be recovering well from the incident and is expected to address the media in the coming days.
