After screening at the UK Asian Film Festival in 2022 and other prestigious events, Muthayya will be released directly on OTT. As announced, the Telugu film will stream on ETV Win starting May 1, 2025. The streaming platform made this exciting announcement on its X by sharing a poster. The post read, "Muthayya. A heartwarming story of dreams, hope, and passion! Witness the inspiring journey of a 70-year-old dreamer from Chennuru. Premieres from May 1. Only on @etvwin."

Muthayya takes the audience into the beautiful and inspiring world of a 70-year-old man from a small town in Telangana. He lives on one idealogy of never giving up on his dream of acting in films. He wakes up daily to pursue his passion, which many around him seem impossible at this age. The trailer perfectly shows Muthayya's journey with gentle humour, hope and an emotional ride. Despite roadblocks by circumstance, which test his determination and patience, he still stands by his dream. The film also shows his close bond with his young friend Malli. The makers of this story present a reminder that dreams have no age limit and no expiry date.

To bring this inspiring story on screen, the movie stars Sudhakar Reddy in the lead role alongside Arun Raj, Mounika Bomma, and Purna Chandra in key roles. Muthayya is written and directed by Bhaskar Maurya. The film is produced by Vrinda Prasad and co-produced by Diwakar Mani.
