Naagin 7 has become the talk of the town, and Salman Khan dropped hints that Ankita Lokhande has multiple projects in her pipeline as she departs from a previous show. Speculations suggest that she might be confirmed for Ekta Kapoor's production. In the midst of these developments, there are reports suggesting that Abhishek Kumar, the runner-up of Bigg Boss 17, is being contemplated for a role in the supernatural drama. Additionally, Ankit Gupta is also under consideration for the show.
In a recent interaction with Mirchi Bollywood, Abhishek responded to the speculations about being approached for Naagin 7. Interestingly, he broke into a smile upon hearing the question and replied, "I am just smiling. I have come after crying a lot for 3.5 months, so I want to laugh." When questioned about the possibility of playing a male Naag alongside his friend Ankit Gupta," he neither confirmed nor denied it, responding with, "Is Ankit bhai there? Well, then let's see if Ankit bhai is there (smiles again)."

When Ekta Kapoor visited the Bigg Boss 16 house to select the lead for ‘Love Sex' Aur Dhoka 2’, rumors began circulating in the gossip mills. There was speculation that she might be considering Priyanka Chahar Choudhary or Sumbul Touqeer for the lead role in Naagin 7. This led to discussions and heightened anticipation about the casting decisions for the next installment of the popular Naagin series, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the announcement of who would ultimately secure the coveted role.
However, according to a report in Filmibeat, a source said, "Ankita Lokhande is in contention to play the lead role in Naagin 7. There's a strong buzz that she will take over the charge from Tejasswi Prakash for the upcoming season. Things are in the pipeline but yes, she is in consideration. Considering her popularity and acting prowess, she might be the perfect fit for the role of a shape-shifting serpent."
Meanwhile, Ekta Kapoor's production 'Naagin 6,' featuring Tejasswi Prakash in the lead role, concluded in July of the previous year, marking the end of the longest season within the franchise. The supernatural saga captivated audiences with Tejasswi's versatile performances.
