Naagzilla: Karan Johar has revealed a new movie, which is nothing like a Dharma Production. Kartik Aaryan-led Naagzilla is backed by Karan Johar's production house and Mahaveer Jain Films. The release date for this horror comedy is set for August 14, 2026.

Shirtless Kartik Aaryan looked at a city from a snake-infested lair. He has scaly, green snake-like skin and is only dressed in blue jeans. The movie is directed by Mrigadeep Singh Lamba of the Fukrey franchise.

Kartik Aaryan portrays Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand, a serpent with the ability to change into a person known as an ichchhadhari naag, who sets out on a crazy, otherworldly journey, in the motion poster shared by the team. Naagzilla's motion poster prompted a flurry of responses from social media users. Many jokingly compared it to Ekta Kapoor's hit TV serial, Naagin. Others joked about this being something similar to the 2002 movie, Jaani Dushman. A user wrote, "The Ektafication of Dharma need not be studied because what is this?" Another user wrote, "Please costume naagraj comic ke jaise rakhna.. Nostalgia."

Kartik Aaryan-Karan Johar Fallout

Kartik Aaryan will finally appear in a Dharma movie following a massive fallout. The actor who was scheduled to co-star with Karan Johar in Dostana 2 was fired, and the project, which also starred Janhvi Kapoor, was shelved. But now that their differences have been resolved, the actor and director are working together on a 'naagon walli picture,' leaving many in shock.

Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan made his final appearance in the T-Series' Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan, and Triptii Dimri played important parts in the horror comedy. His next appearance will be with Sreeleela in Aashiqui 3. Anurag Basu is directing the movie, which is scheduled for release in October 2025. Karan Johar, on the other hand, is occupied with promoting Kesari 2, which stars Akshay Kumar. The movie has generated rave reviews from the audience and critics alike.
