Thandel: The much-anticipated Telugu movie Thandel, starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, hit theatres on February 7 and received a positive response from the audience. The movie, based on the real story of a group of fishermen from Srikakulam who accidentally strayed into Pakistan’s waters and were arrested, is captivating hearts with its gripping narrative. Thandel also features Sai Pallavi in a lead role. Amid the film’s success, Naga Chaitanya’s father and veteran actor Nagarjuna expressed his pride in his son. He posted an appreciation note for Chay on his social media.

Nagarjuna took to his X handle and shared photos of himself with Naga Chaitanya and the official poster of Thandel. He wrote, “Dear @chay_akkineni, Proud of you my son! I have watched you push boundaries, face challenges, and give your heart to the craft. Thandel is not just another film—it is a testament to your relentless passion, your courage to dream big, and your hard work.”

The actor thanked Akkineni fans for their support, adding, “You have stood by us like family, and Thandel’s success is as much yours as it is ours. Thank you for your endless love and support! Gratitude.”

Nagarjuna also expressed gratitude to the producers of Thandel, Allu Aravind and Bunny Vas. He praised Sai Pallavi for her talent and called Devi Sri Prasad a genius, writing, “A BIG BIG thank you to #AlluAravind garu and @TheBunnyVas. Congratulations to the amazingly talented @Sai_Pallavi92—you never cease to amaze! The genius @ThisIsDSP—you rock! Thandel Box Office Report

Thandel has been receiving an overwhelming response since its release. Fans are in awe of Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi's on-screen chemistry. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the movie also stars Prakash Belawadi, Divya Pillai, Rao Ramesh, and Karunakaran in key roles. Within three days of its release, the Telugu film has earned around Rs 35.85 crore.
