Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala, who have kept their love story under wraps, are all set to tie the knot on December 4 at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. The couple got engaged in August this year and are planning a simple yet traditional Telugu wedding, according to Nagarjuna.
In a recent interview with The Times of India, Nagarjuna shared how he inadvertently played cupid in bringing the couple together. The veteran actor recalled that he had been impressed by Sobhita’s stellar performance in the 2018 thriller Goodachari. He reached out to her immediately to express his admiration.
“I invited her to meet me whenever she was in Hyderabad. Later, she visited my home, and we had some wonderful conversations, not just about films but also about life in general,” Nagarjuna revealed. It was during one of these visits that Naga Chaitanya walked in and met Sobhita for the first time.

Praising his future daughter-in-law, Nagarjuna highlighted her hard work and perseverance. “She has worked incredibly hard to achieve her dreams, starting from Vizag and making a name for herself in the industry. She’s a brilliant actress who has remained true to her values and craft. More than that, she’s warm and grounded,” he said.
He also spoke about the happiness he feels when he sees the couple together. “The bond they share is unmistakable, and it makes me very happy,” he added. The wedding will be an intimate ceremony attended by close friends and family, including members of the Akkineni and Daggubati families, as well as Sobhita’s relatives. The bride will don traditional Andhra weaves, reflecting the cultural essence of a Telugu wedding.
This will be Naga Chaitanya’s second marriage. He was previously married to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The couple had a lavish two-day wedding in Goa in 2017 but separated in 2021. Chaitanya and Sobhita reportedly dated for two years before announcing their engagement earlier this year.
