Nagarjuna Akkineni is set to take legal action against Telangana Minister Konda Surekha for her derogatory remarks on Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s divorce. On October 2, the Congress leader claimed that BRS leader KTR was the main reason behind Chaitanya and Samantha’s split. The Akkineni family and also Samantha slammed Surekha for such comments. While KTR already issued a notice against the Congress leader, Nagarjuna has also confirmed that he will be taking legal action against it.
Nagarjuna told Times Now, “I am in Vizag. I am heading back to Hyderabad for action ahead.” He also added, “Oh, absolutely! A hundred percent. We can’t let this go. Not at all. I am rushing back with lawyers.”
Surekha told media persons yesterday, “KTR asked to send Samantha in return for not demolishing the N-convention centre. Nagarjuna forced Samantha to go to KTR, but she said no. That led to divorce. He was a minister at that time and used to tap the phones of the actresses and then find their weaknesses to blackmail them.”
Notably, N-Convention Centre is owned by Nagarjuna, which was partially demolished in August by the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection. However, the actor obtained a stay order from the High Court.
Nagarjuna tweeted, “I strongly condemn the comments of the Honorable Minister Mrs. Konda Surekha. Don’t use the lives of movie stars who stay away from politics to criticize your opponents. Please respect other people’s privacy. As a woman in a responsible position, your comments and accusations against our family are completely irrelevant and false. I request you to withdraw your comments immediately.”

Surekha tweeted earlier today, “My intention was to question a leader's belittling attitude towards women leaders. Please don't be hurt. The way you have grown on your own is an inspiration to me. If you or your fans were offended, I retract my comments. Sorry.”
