Nandhan Twitter Review: The Tamil comedy-drama Nandhan, which premiered on September 20, 2024, is directed and written by Era Saravanan. Featuring M. Sasikumar and Suruthi Periyasamy in lead roles, the film is produced by Era Entertainment and aims to entertain while addressing significant social issues. The narrative follows an underdog from a rural village who faces numerous challenges in his quest to break through societal barriers, exploring power dynamics and political manipulation within local communities.

Set in a small Tamil Nadu village where a single caste holds all the power and elections are nonexistent, the film portrays how villagers take pride in this oppressive status quo. Ambedkumar (M. Sasikumar), a devoted laborer, remains loyal to the village head, Kopulingam (Balaji Sakthivel), despite being mistreated. His unwavering support even against his wife, Selvi (Suruthi Periyasamy), is tested when Dalit reservation threatens the established hierarchy. As Kopulingam is forced to step down, the precarious power dynamics shift, igniting conflict and raising questions of loyalty and justice. Audience reviews highlight the film's engaging performances and strong direction, with viewers expressing their appreciation for its impactful storytelling.
