Renowned filmmaker Manish Malhotra took to Instagram to announce his third production, 'Ul Jalool Ishq', featuring an impressive ensemble cast including Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Varma, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The film, directed by Vibhu Puri, is set to mark the return of the legendary lyricist-music composer duo Gulzar and Vishal Bhardwaj, who will create the film's captivating soundtrack. Malhotra, expressing his enthusiasm for the project, shared a poetic caption on Instagram, "Bewakoofiyaan, Nadan galtiyan, badi bhool hai ishq, Sach Poochiye toh mere huzoor ul jalool hai ishq!". The shooting for this beautiful film is scheduled to commence on January 9th.

This announcement follows Malhotra's successful launch of Stage 5 Production in September 2023, with projects like 'Train From Chhapraula' and 'Bun Tikki'. The former, starring Radhika Apte and Divyenndu, and the latter, directed by Faraz Arif Ansari, featuring Shabana Azmi, Zeenat Aman, and Abhay Deol, have added to the anticipation surrounding the production house. The collaboration with Gulzar and Vishal Bhardwaj adds an extra layer of excitement to 'Ul Jalool Ishq', given their history of creating timeless melodies in films like 'Maqbool', 'Omkara', 'Haider', and 'Ishqiya'. Malhotra expressed his honour in working with the duo, acknowledging Gulzar for his poetic lyrics and Bhardwaj for his timeless melodies.
