Netflix is a highly popular OTT platform globally, with a huge fan following due to its diverse content offerings such as movies, web series, TV shows, and docuseries. Every year, movie lovers across the globe, eagerly await exclusive content set to release on the streaming giant. However, in a surprising move, Netflix has now announced that it would be cancelling over 8 shows, leaving its audiences shocked.
Netflix cancels 8 shows
Netflix has repeated its strategy from last year by abruptly cancelling more than eight shows and other content in the first half of this year. Although the company has faced criticism from audiences, it has cancelled several popular shows such as 'Sex/Life, 1899, Inside Job, Mindhunter, Dead End: Paranormal Park, Uncoupled, The Chair, Bling Empire, and others.
The show 'Sex/Life was cancelled within a month of its second season release, following criticism by its lead actress Sarah Shahi for being superficial. Although Netflix maintained that the show had reached its natural conclusion, it was evident that it was cancelled abruptly.

Several Netflix shows are set to conclude this year despite being renewed previously. The list includes the highly acclaimed series The Crown, which will conclude with Season 6, and You, which has been renewed for another season but will end with Season 5. Similarly, Big Mouth will come to an end after its eighth season, and the immensely popular show Stranger Things will also be ending with its fifth and final season this year.
