NewJeans and Aespa are currently the most popular girl groups in the Kpop scene. The two girl groups have released good music this year. And latest buzz is brewing in the Kpop community as a viral social media post hints that aespa and NewJeans might take center stage at Coachella in 2025. While the excitement is undeniable, the legitimacy of this rumoured lineup remains unconfirmed.

The speculation started with a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), where a leaked Coachella lineup allegedly shows aespa performing on the Sahara stage, the same stage where BLACKPINK delivered their historic 2019 set. NewJeans, on the other hand, is rumoured to take over the main stage, which aespa graced in 2022. This prospect has sent fans into a frenzy, imagining the impact these fourth-generation girl groups could have at one of the world’s most iconic music festivals.

However, it's important to approach this news with caution. A closer look at the leaked schedule reveals a URL reading “coachella2025fakesettimes,” casting serious doubt on the authenticity of the information. The original poster later clarified that the source of the lineup isn’t credible, suggesting that the excitement may be premature.

Coachella has become a significant platform for Kpop acts in recent years, starting with BLACKPINK’s groundbreaking performance in 2019. Since then, aespa dazzled audiences in 2022 and ATEEZ and LE SSERAFIM made their mark in 2023. If the rumours prove true, aespa and NewJeans performing at Coachella 2025 would further solidify Kpop’s growing global influence.

The speculation surrounding aespa and NewJeans reflects the anticipation and excitement for Kpop’s continued rise on the international stage. Meanwhile, fans are left wondering who else from the Kpop world they would love to see take centre stage at Coachella 2025.
