Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios’ war epic 120 Bahadur has finally hit cinemas, igniting an electric wave of excitement nationwide. Among the year’s most anticipated releases, the film is earning glowing early praise from both the media and celebrities. With its grand theatrical debut, 120 Bahadur has quickly become the nation’s biggest talking point. Amid its amazing run, the film was declared tax-free in Delhi, and now, achieving yet another milestone, it has been declared tax-free in Rajasthan as well.
120 Bahadur is the story of our brave soldiers’ sacrifice, soldiers who refused to step back and faced the opposing army to protect our nation. As a powerful and significant story that every Indian should witness, the film is being granted tax-free status across several states. After Delhi, it has now been declared tax-free in Rajasthan too. This is yet another remarkable salute to the courage and sacrifice of our soldiers.
The film depicts the heroic story of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra—India’s highest military honour—for his courage during the Battle of Rezang La. Released in theatres on 21 November 2025, the movie was also showcased in the Gala Premiere section of the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI). Notably, the 1964 film Haqeeqat had earlier portrayed the same historic battle from the 1962 war.

Upon release, the film earned strong positive reviews from critics, audiences, and members of the film industry. Viewers praised its powerful performances and intense war sequences, although some felt the screenplay could have been stronger. Its impact has been so profound that several schools and residential societies are booking entire shows to enable students and residents to experience the film together.
The film was recently declared tax-free in Delhi. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta issued an order making it tax-free in the capital starting 28 November 2025, stating that the movie serves as a tribute to the extraordinary courage, leadership, and sacrifice of the 120 soldiers of Charlie Company who fought valiantly in the Battle of Rezang La. This move is expected to further boost the film’s ticket sales across the region.
