120 Bahadur: Farhan Akhtar-led historical war drama is all set to make history as it will be the first ever screening to happen at Rezang La War memorial in Ahir Dham, Chushul, Ladakh on November 22. PictureTime, a mobile theatre company set to screen at the Chulsuil village, which is at 16,452 ft. It is one of the highest altitude film screenings ever. The special event will feature 14 shows open to the soldiers stationed in the region and local residents.

PictureTime CEO Sushil Chaudhary said, “We are going to show the film at the Rezang La memorial auditorium in Chushul village, which is next to the mountain pass where the war was fought.” He will be on-site amid the harsh minus-10-degree Celsius conditions. Chaudhary added, “This is going to be the highest altitude screening for any film. We are proud that the story of this incredible bravery will be witnessed by the villagers and soldiers on the big screen. We will show the film for at least two weeks.”

Apart from Ladakh, 120 Bahadur is set to have special screenings at different locations in India. In collaboration with GenSync Brat Media, the war drama is slated to be played in over 800 defence theatres, only for the armed forces. Notably, the mountain premiere follows the recent announcement that 120 Bahadur will become the first film to release across India’s defence theatres.

About 120 Bahadur

The story follows the extraordinary journey and the courage of 120 Indian soldiers, from 13 Kumaon regiment, who fought the battle of Rezang La during the 1962 war. 120 Bahadur stars Farhan Akhtar as Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, Raashii Khanna as Shagun Kanwar, Ankit Siwach as Ramlal, Vivan Bhatena as Jemadar Surja Ram, Dhanveer Singh as Jemadar Hariram Singh, Sahib Verma as Nanha, Sparsh Walia as Ramchander Yadav, Ajinkya Deo as Brigadier T.N Dhingra and Eijaz Khan as Lt Col HN Dhingra. The film has been written by Rajiv G. Menon. 120 Bahadur has been directed by Razneesh Ghai. It has a runtime of 137 minutes.
