Lahore 1947, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and starring Sunny Deol, is based on the highly regarded play Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya, O Jamyai Ni by Asghar Wajahat. It is produced by Aamir Khan. The movie, which explores concepts of displacement and connection during the Partition, has special meaning for those involved because of Dharmendra's admiration for its story.
Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, and Karan Deol are among the cast members of Lahore 1947, along with Aamir Khan and director Rajkumar Santoshi. Audiences are still looking forward to the production, which is a big project with more emotional resonance now that Dharmendra is no longer with us.
