Ratan Nain, Varun Dhawan…many people are coming forward to help him this time, which Rajpal has deeply appreciated.”
Goldie added that the industry has stood by him, noting that commitments take time to materialise. A bail hearing is scheduled for February 12. Goldie said, “We have his bail hearing scheduled for tomorrow, and we are hopeful that he will be granted bail and released.”

The legal case dates back to 2010, when Rajpal Yadav borrowed Rs 5 crore from M/s Murali Projects Pvt Ltd to finance his directorial film Ata Pata Laapata. The film failed commercially. Due to interest, penalties, and delayed payments, the outstanding amount reportedly rose to nearly Rs 9 crore. Multiple cheques issued to settle the dues were dishonoured, resulting in criminal proceedings under the Negotiable Instruments Act.
