Ahead of its grand release, director Sriram hosted a movie screening which was attended by many prominent figures, including Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and many others, turning the event into a star-studded celebration. The screening took a personal turn after Mukesh Khetarpal came to watch the movie Ikkis, which is a biopic of his brother, Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal. His firsthand experience of the movie left him extremely emotional as he relived the powerful impact of his brother. Now that I have seen the movie, it is 10 times or maybe 20 times or 100 times of what we see in the trailer. Oh, fantastic!"
Mukesh then talked to Agastya Nanda, who portrays the character of Arun Khetarpal and said, "Whatever else you are, you will be Arun for life. There is no taking that away from you." Agastya proudly replied, "I don't want anyone to take that away from me."
