In the wake of the shocking turn of events on Thursday, after a tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad, the nation is in mourning. The Boeing 787-8 aircraft, operating as Flight AI-171 departed from Ahmedabad with 242 people on board, including pilots and crew members. The plane crashed shortly after takeoff from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad.
After news of the tragedy broke, it sent shockwaves across the nation. Amid this, several celebrities cancelled their events and film promotions. Among them were the makers of Rana Naidu Season 2, starring Rana Daggubati and Vishnu Manchu's Kannappa.

Rana Naidu Season 2 Event Cancelled

The team of Netflix’s Rana Naidu issued an official statement on their Instagram handle. To show solidarity for the families of those impacted by the plane crash, they decided to call off the event. The note read, "In light of the tragic news concerning the Air India flight, and in solidarity with the families of those impacted, we have made a decision to cancel today’s fan and media event of Rana Naidu Season 2. Our hopes and prayers are with the families of those affected by this devastating news."

Rana Naidu Season 2 Event Cancelled

Apart from the Rana Naidu event cancellation, Akshay Kumar and Vishnu Manchu also called off the Kanappa trailer launch event, which was supposed to take place in Indore on June 13. This decision was shared by Vishnu Manchu on his X handle.

Expressing grief over the incident, he wrote, “My heart breaks for the lives lost in today’s Ahmedabad Air India crash. In deep mourning, we’re deferring the #Kannappa trailer release by one day and cancelling tomorrow’s Indore pre-release event. My prayers are with the families during this unimaginably difficult time.”

Salman Khan also joined the list and stepped back from participation in a promotional event of the Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) in Mumbai, which was scheduled for today, to show respect for the victims of a devastating plane crash.
