Ahmedabad Plane Crash: In a shocking incident, an Air India plane (AI171) carrying at least 242 passengers, including 2 pilots and 10 crew members, crashed in the Meghaninagar locality near Sardar Vallabhbhai International Airport in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on Thursday, June 12 — shortly after takeoff. The incident has left everyone stunned. Reports have been coming in about several deaths and injuries. The film fraternity is expressing its support for the victims in various ways. Salman Khan, who was scheduled to attend the Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) event in Mumbai today, had the event canceled by co-founders Veer Patel and Ishan Lokhande in light of the tragedy.

Salman Khan Cancels Event Amid Ahmedabad Plane Crash

Salman is the new face of the Indian Supercross Racing League, and a press conference was scheduled for Thursday in Mumbai. He was supposed to attend the event, but after news of the plane crash broke, the team decided to cancel the event.

In an official statement, the team stated, "As we all have just heard the tragic incident that has taken place today. Indian Supercross Racing League and Mr Salman Khan stand by the Nation United in this tough time. All our condolences and prayers are with the affected families. Jointly, we have made a responsible decision to reschedule this event to a further date.”

ISRL team also shared a video with the event cancellation announcement on their Instagram. The post read, "Our deepest condolences go out to all the families. We stand with you in grief and extend our heartfelt support."
