Football legend Lionel Messi is currently in Mumbai for his highly-awaited GOAT India Tour 2025. During his three-day India visit, he has been meeting Bollywood celebrities, cricket personalities and politicians. After Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan's interaction with Messi, the presence of Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff at Wankhede Stadium on Sunday during the on-field programme was not well received by the crowd. Which was supposed to be a celebratory moment with Messi during his India tour turned awkward when sections of the crowd loudly booed the Bollywood actors' presence. Videos from the Mumbai event have gone viral on social media.

When Ajay and Tiger were invited by the organisers, pausing the proceedings to felicitate celebrities in the presence of Messi and his Inter Miami teammates, Luis Suárez and Rodrigo De Paul, the crowd loudly showed their displeasure with the move.

The social media has since been flooded with netizens' reactions.

One X user wrote, "at wankhede stadium fans didn’t come to cheer bollywood celebrities or politicians. They're came for the messi and sports and made it clear by booing the tiger shroff and ajay devgan. Respect for the CROWD."

Another user commented, "No way Devendra Fadnavis felicitated Ajay Devgan and Tiger Shroff in front of Lionel Messi Suarez and Rodrigo. The crowd started booing and This were their reactions."

Another comment read, "Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff getting booed so badly that even Messi looked amused Global embarrassment unlocked."

In other viral photos and videos from the event, Messi was seen shaking hands with Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff. Ajay was accompanied by his son Yug and nephew Aaman Devgn, who also met Messi.

Shahid Kapoor's wife, Mira Kapoor, shared a cute moment of their children, Zain and Misha, with Leo Messi in Mumbai. In one of her Instagram stories, she wrote, "Now you're a GOAT dad," tagging Shahid.

Pictures of Shahid with his daughter from Messi's Mumbai event also went viral online.

Besides him, Kareena Kapoor Khan, along with her kids- Taimur and Jeh, also interacted with the football icon.

Actress Geeta Basra, her husband cricketer Harbhajan Singh, and their family also posed with Lionel Messi in Mumbai as part of his GOAT Tour in India.

During the programme at Wankhede Stadium, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis felicitated Football star Messi with a bouquet. India's football star Sunil Chhetri entered the stadium wearing a special Messi No.10 jersey and received a signed Argentina jersey by the GOAT himself. Messi also met Sachin Tendulkar at Wankhede.

Lionel Messi's GOAT India Tour 2025 began in Kolkata on December 13, where he met Shah Rukh Khan. On the same day, he delighted fans with his presence in Hyderabad. On December 14, Messi interacted with fans and several Bollywood celebrities in Mumbai. He will conclude his tour in Delhi on December 15.
