Akon Harassed During Bengaluru Show, Crowd Pulls His Pants Down In Viral Video: 'Shameful, Disrespectful'

Akon, a well-known American singer best known for his popular song Chammak Challo, is making headlines once more. He is on tour in India right now. Today, November 16, marks the end of this tour, which started in Delhi on November 9. However, the singer had an incident during this tour that shocked everyone and caused fans to lose their cool online. Akon's pants were tugged down by some audience members as he was performing live.

Akon may be seen performing in front of a sizable audience in the footage. Some members of the crowd were seen in the footage pulling down his pants. The American singer continued to sing in spite of this uncomfortable behaviour. He instantly pulled up his pants and carried on performing calmly, despite the tiny scowl that showed on his face. That being said, this must have been a really terrible experience for him, something he will probably never forget.

Akon was seen mingling intimately with the VIP area while singing Sexy Bitch, his joint song with David Guetta, in the widely shared video that was caught by Instagram user Zumair Khaja. People in the front row were seen pulling at the artist's pants as he continually adjusted them in the footage.

As soon as the video started going viral, the behaviour sparked quick criticism on social media. Several users referred to the crowd's mistreatment of the musician as harassment. A user wrote, "They clearly liked the booty, but they were, in fact, being disrespectfuuuuuuulllllllll." Another user wrote, "This is sad; they were harassing him live on stage. He is an international artist trying to perform for them, and they are just harassing him." A third user wrote, "This is so shameful." In the midst of the criticism, some viewers also brought up the fact that Akon seemed to be lip-syncing, which added another level of discussion to the performance.

With hits like Right Now, I Wanna Love You, Smack That, Lonely, Beautiful, Don't Matter, and ChammakChallo, Akon continues to be one of the most recognisable voices in pop and R&B worldwide.
