Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, one of the iconic duos of Bollywood, have worked in films such as Keemat, Tu Chor Main Sipahi, Yeh Dillagi, Main Khiladi Tu Anari and Tashan. After 17 years, the two are collaborating on the upcoming movie directed by the acclaimed Priyadarshan. Ever since the announcement, fans have been eagerly awaiting more updates. According to the latest buzz, the movie has a title. Akshay and Saif's starrer is titled Haiwaan.

Akshay Kumar And Saif Ali Khan's Movie Title

The action thriller has been titled Haiwaan (beast). As per HT City report, “The team felt this describes their subject the best, and conveys exactly how Priyadarshan sees it- as an edge-of-the-seat thriller. There were other titles in contention, but this one clicked unanimously, given the characters the lead actors play."

Akshay and Saif shared the screen space last time together in the 2008 film Tashan. The upcoming movie's filming is expected to begin in August and is likely to be released next year in theatres.

This project marks the first collaboration between Saif and Priyadarshan. Earlier, the actor opened up about teaming up with the filmmaker and the character he is going to play. He said in an interview with Bollywood Hungama,“Yes, I am doing a film with Priyadarshan next. I play a blind guy. Very exciting.”

Previously, Hindustan Times reported that Akshay and Saif were excited as they read the script of Priyadarshan's directorial. “It’s a nail-biting and entertaining thriller film. Helmed by Priyadarshan, it will leave the audiences on the edge of their seats."

Haiwaan Movie Remake Or Original Story

Akshay and Saif is going to be a Hindi remake of the 2016 Malayalam film Oppam, which originally starred Mohanlal.

Meanwhile, Akshay is gearing up for Bhooth Bangla, which is also being directed by Priyadarshan. The actor and director are also collaborating for Hera Pher 3. Saif Ali Khan was seen in the film Jewel Thief. It also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Kunal Kapoor and Nikita Dutta.
