Welcome To The Jungle: Akshay Kumar recently took fans down memory lane by recreating the iconic track Uncha Lamba Kad from his 2007 hit film Welcome. The actor shared a video with Disha Patani, his co-star in Welcome To The Jungle, featuring a revamped version of the beloved song. What made the moment even more special was Akshay’s touching shout-out to his long-time co-star, Katrina Kaif, who originally featured in the song. Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif have shared the screen in several successful films, including Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, Namastey London, Singh Is Kinng, De Dana Dan, and Sooryavanshi.
Sharing the video on social media, Akshay Kumar wrote, “From our hearts to yours!! What a throwback, 18 years & still an all-time favourite. With so much nostalgia, beautiful Disha & I bring you Welcome To The Jungle… Never forgetting our Queen Katrina.” In the short clip, Akshay and Disha can be seen sharing playful chemistry as they groove to the reimagined version of Uncha Lamba Kad. Dressed in casual attire, the two walk past each other and sway to the beat before Akshay looks into the camera and says, “We miss you, Katrina!” The actor’s nostalgic post comes after rumours spread online that Welcome To The Jungle, the third film in the Welcome franchise, had been shelved. However, the video appears to have silenced those rumours, confirming that the film is very much on track.

Meanwhile, soon after Akshay shared the post, social media was flooded with reactions. Comments such as “Can’t imagine this song without Katrina,” and “Some classics should never be remade” reflected the mixed sentiments online. Still, many appreciated Akshay’s tribute to his long-time co-star and the nostalgia that came with it. A fan wrote, “Eighteen years later, and the song still hits hard! Excited to see what you and Disha bring this time.” Another added, “The chemistry may be different, but the memories will always stay the same.”
