Hera Pheri 3: The controversy surrounding Hera Pheri 3 seem to continue as fans eagerly anticipate the long-awaited third installment of the cherished comedy franchise. According to reports, Paresh Rawal's co-star Akshay Kumar is suing him for Rs 25 crore for abandoning the third part in the franchise after he confirmed his exit on social media.

Hera Pheri 3 actor and producer Akshay Kumar's move came two days after Paresh Rawal revealed his abrupt exit from the comedy in X (previously Twitter). "I wish to put it on record that my decision to step away from Hera Pheri 3 was not due to creative differences. I REITERATE THAT THERE  ARE  NO CREATIVE DISAGREEMENT WITH THE FILM MAKER . I hold immense love, respect, and faith in Mr. Priyadarshan the film director," he wrote, setting the record straight once and for all.

Akshay Kumar is suing Paresh Rawal for leaving Hera Pheri 3 despite having signed a formal contract, according to a Hindustan Times report. For the unversed, The Khilad Kumar is also the producer of Hera Pheri 3 after purchasing its rights from producer Firoz Nadiadwala.

"Paresh displayed a blatant disregard for professional integrity or commercial morality. If he wanted to not do the film, he should have said so before signing the legal contract, accepting the signing amount and making the producer spend so much money on the shoot," said the source close to the media house. 

Paresh Rawal cleared that neither monetary issue nor artistic disagreements were the reason behind his sudden exit from the comedy franchise. According to media reports, the seasoned actor received more than three times his normal fee for this Hera Pheri 3.

Legendary director Priyadarshan started filming the movie with Akshay, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal in April 2025.
