Akshay Kumar went unnoticed after interviewing audience exiting a theater after watching, Housefull 5 on Sunday. He wore a mask that was also used in the movie to cover his face in a video posted to Instagram. For the unversed, the comedy franchise made Rs 54 crore since it opened in theaters on Friday.

Akshay Kumar then approached others who had left the theater after seeing Housefull 5 and asked them for anonymous feedback. He asked audience, "Kaisi lagi Housefull 5? Kaun sabse achha laga?" in the video. Some responded to his questions, while others observed and even ignore him. No one, however, recognised the actor behind the mask.

Akshay Kumar shared the video on social media, the caption read, "Bas yun hi I decided to wear the killer mask and interview people coming out of the Housefull5 show at Bandra today. Pakda jaane wala thaa end mein but bhaag gaya us se pehle. Mast experience."

Akshay Kumar's fans swamped the comment section with laughing emojis. One of the users wrote, "Last me mask hatakar dhamaka, dena chahiye tha." Another user wrote, "Kya log hai itni clear voice nahi pehchaan sakte kaash me waha hoti." The third user wrote, "Kon hai ye log kaha se aaye hai me to @akshaykumar sab ko ek aeh me pehchan jata love you akki paji."

Additionally, Housefull 5 attracted attention when its producers revealed that there will be two distinct versions of the movie showing in theaters, each with a different ending.

Housefull 5 stars Abhishek Bachchan, Chunky Pandey, Nana Patekar, Soundarya Sharma, Sonam Bajwa, Fardeen Khan, Jackie Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Johnny Lever, Riteish Deshmukh, Shreyas Talpade, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Nargis Fakhri, among others.

There is a murder on a cruise in Housefull 5. The seventh richest person in the United Kingdom, Ranjeet Dobriyal, sometimes known as "Ranjeet," is getting ready to celebrate his 100th birthday in his opulent vessel. CFO Maya (Chitrangda Singh), COO Bedi (Dino Morea), CMO Shiraz (Shreyas Talpade), CEO and Ranjeet's son Dev (Fardeen Khan), Captain Sameer (Nikitin Dheer), cruise officer Batuk Patel (Johny Lever), and Aakhri Pasta (Chunky Panday) are all there, as are the company's top executives. Then Ranjeet dies suddenly. After arriving, the lawyer Lucy (Soundarya Sharma) reads Ranjeet's will. Ranjeet left all of his riches to Jolly, his son from his first marriage Shakuntala Devi (Archana Puran Singh), in accordance with the terms of his will.

To Dev and the team's horror, three individuals—Jalbhushan, also known as Jolly (Abhishek A Bachchan), Julius, also known as Jolly (Akshay Kumar), and Jalabuddin, also known as Jolly (Riteish Deshmukh)—arrive posing as Jolly.  Their respective spouses, Kanchi (Nargis Fakhri), Sashikala (Jacqueline Fernandez), and Zara (Sonam Bajwa), join them.
