Akshay Kumar has reportedly undergone a minor eye surgery in Mumbai after completing the Kerala schedule of his upcoming film with director Anees Bazmee. The actor, known for his busy shooting calendar, is now expected to take a short break for recovery. Reports suggest the procedure was related to vision correction and was completed successfully earlier this week.
Akshay Kumar Undergoes Eye Surgery
According to a Hindustan Times report, Akshay Kumar underwent a minor eye surgery on the morning of May 6 in Mumbai. The source informed the portal, saying, “It was a minor surgery which took place on the morning of May 6. It was an operation to improve his vision. After this, Akshay will rest for a while as he has completed shooting for the next movie with Anees Bazmee, titled Keralam.”
The star is now taking some time to relax after this minor surgery.

Akshay has just finished shooting for the Kerala schedule of an untitled movie, directed by Anees Bazmee. Apart from Akshay, the movie will also feature Vidya Balan and Raashii Khanna as the other main characters.
The movie is being awaited with great anticipation since it is the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan after several hit movies with each other. Moreover, this is also the comeback movie for Akshay along with Anees Bazmee after a gap of almost 15 years. The last movie Akshay and Anees worked on was Thank You (2011). They also worked together in Welcome, Welcome Back, Singh is Kinng, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, and more.

Despite taking a short recovery break, Akshay Kumar continues to have a packed lineup of films. He was recently seen in Bhooth Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan. The actor also has several major projects in the pipeline, including Welcome To The Jungle, Haiwaan, Golmaal 5 and the Marathi film Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat.
