Alia Bhatt’s former personal assistant, Vedika Prakash Shetty, has been arrested by Juhu Police for allegedly stealing more than Rs 76 lakhs from the actress’s production house, Eternal Sunshine Productions, and her personal accounts. Police are currently investigating the matter and checking the financial records to confirm the correct figure of how much it has been taken. Alia or her team has not issued any formal statement on this matter yet. 

Notably, Alia launched her production house, Eternal Sunshine Productions, in 2021. The production house aims to make 'happy films' with a focus on making 'real, timeless, and warm and fuzzy tales'. The first film of the company was the 2022 movie Darlings, which was co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan‘s Red Chillies Entertainment. Darlings starred Alia herself along with Vijay Varma and Shefali Shah in the lead roles. The movie is streaming on Netflix.

On the work front, Alia is busy filming the Spy Universe movie titled Alpha. The movie also stars Sharvari Wagh in the lead roles. Alpha is slated to release in December this year. Apart from Alpha, she has also been roped in to play the female lead in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War. The movie also features Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in the main leads.

Earlier in an interview with News 18, the actress opened up about collaborating with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. She said, "I, as an audience, am more excited to see him (Bhansali) and Ranbir collaborate, again, after so many years. I am like, ‘wow, what’s that going to be like? Vicky and I are coming together again; Ranbir and Vicky created magic with Sanju. So, it is a lot of combinations."
