Telugu star Allu Arjun’s grandmother, Allu Kanakaratnam, passed away on August 30. She breathed her last at the age of 94. She had reportedly been keeping unwell due to age-related health complications. After the news of her demise emerged, fans and members of the industry paid their tributes. Now, Allu Arjun has shared his first statement following his beloved grandmother’s death. He penned an emotional note for her, stating that her love and presence will be missed every day.

Taking to his Instagram handle, Allu Arjun shared a portrait of his grandmother along with a note, which read, "Our beloved grandmother #AlluKanakaratnam garu now rests in her heavenly abode. Her love, wisdom, and presence will be missed every single day."

He expressed gratitude to those who attended the last rites and to fans for sending their prayers and love.

"Heartfelt thanks to everyone who came forward to share their affection and condolences. To those far away, your prayers and love were felt just as much. Thank you for your Love. Humbled," the Pushpa star added.

Allu Kanakaratnam, wife of the late actor Allu Ramalingaiah, passed away in the early hours of Saturday. According to reports, Allu Arjun was in Mumbai at the time of his grandmother’s demise. Upon hearing the sad news, he rushed to Hyderabad. His cousin Ram Charan, who was shooting for director Buchi Babu Sana’s film Peddi in Mysore, also cancelled the shoot after the news of her passing.

Chiranjeevi also paid an emotional tribute on X handle. He wrote in regional language, loosely translated to "Our mother-in-law.. The demise of Kanakarathnamma Garu, wife of Sri Allu Ramalingayya Garu, is extremely heartbreaking. The love, courage, and life values she showed to our families will forever be an inspiration to us. I pray to God that their sacred soul attains peace. Om Shanti.”

Following the passing of Allu Arjun's grandmother, several celebrities, including Venkatesh Daggubati, Trivikram, Sukumar, Pawan Kalyan and others, visited his residence to offertheir condolences.
