Anupamaa Set Fire Incident: TV actress Rupali Ganguly's popular show Anupamaa has been in the news after a massive fire incident on the set. The tragic event took place in the early hours of June 23. No casualties were reported after the incident. Amid this, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) demanded an investigation into the matter in a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The association also slammed the producers for risking the lives of workers on the sets and for ignoring fire protocols. Following this, Rupali shared a statement, expressing gratitude for all the prayers after the fire incident on the Anupamaa set.

Rupali took to her Instagram and shared a post, that read, "Thank you for the prayers, blessings, and the overwhelming love during these trying times. That was once my second home, my karmbhoomi and a sacred space I considered a temple, now stands still, but not broken. With Rajan ji's steady leadership, l'm reminded that even a setback can serve as a springboard - one that fuels us to rise, rebuild, and pour our hearts into what comes next.”

Confirming the no-casualties report made by the producer Rajan Shahi, the actress added, “Like he says, what was lost can be created again. What truly matters are the lives that were saved. We are deeply grateful to the Almighty - there vere no casualties, and all our fur babies are safe. Team DKP and the crew members of Anupamaa your commendable efforts in not letting the -shooting halt even for a single day is applaud worthy. Team Star Plus thank u for standing by us like a pillar of strength always. As Anupamaa always rises like a phoenix from the ashes ... so shall we. With folded hands, thank you again.”

AICWA Demands Probe On Anupamaa Set Fire Incident

The letter was shared on the official handle of AICWA, which read, "This incident is yet another alarming reminder of the repeated fires in Film City and other shooting locations in Maharashtra, which are a direct result of negligence by producers, production houses, and channels who routinely ignore fire safety protocols. Thousands of technicians, workers, and artists risk their lives daily due to the lack of basic fire safety systems and enforcement'.

The letter further mentioned, "Despite several previous incidents and warnings, no serious or systemic action has been taken by the authorities or Film City administration. Shockingly, even after earlier fire incidents were brought to the attention of the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha by me as President of the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA), the government and administration failed to implement strict fire safety guidelines or audits across the industry."

The set of Rupali Ganguly’s show Anupamaa caught fire on June 23 at Film City in Goregaon, Mumbai. The incident reportedly happened two hours before the scheduled shoot time at 7 am. Following this, the show producer urged people not to believe misinformation and fake news and to wait for the official update from them.
