Anushka Shetty and Vikram Prabhu’s much-awaited release of this year, Ghaati, has been postponed again. The Telugu movie was earlier scheduled to hit theatres on 11th July 2025. However, the team has now announced that the release has been postponed due to unfinished production work. In a recent statement, the filmmakers said they need more time to complete key parts of the movie to maintain its quality. They thanked fans for their ongoing support and promised to share a new release date soon.

Telugu movie Ghaati’s production team, UV Creations, took to their official X (formerly Twitter) handle and posted a heartfelt message. The note read, “Cinema is a living river... sometimes it rushes forward, sometimes it pauses to gather depth. Ghaati is not just a film; it’s a mountain echo, a wild breeze, a story carved from stone and soil. To honour every frame, every breath, we have chosen to hold its flight a little longer in our embrace. We believe this wait will make the experience richer, more intense, and more unforgettable. Thank you for your love and patience.”

Know Everything About Anushka Shetty’s Upcoming Movie Ghaati

Ghaati movie is produced by Rajeev Reddy and Sai Babu Jagarlamudi under the banner of UV Creations. This movie marks the second collaboration between actress Anushka Shetty and director Krish Jagarlamudi. The two had earlier worked together on Vedam, a critically acclaimed film that received much love from the audience and critics alike.

On the other hand, Telugu movie Ghaati is expected to be a visually rich and emotionally powerful film. Cinematography is handled by Manojh Reddy Katasani, while the music is composed by Nagavelli Vidya Sagar. The film’s overall visual style has been crafted by legendary art director Thota Tharrani, and the editing is done by Chanakya Reddy Toorupu and Venkat N. Swamy.

Meanwhile, this is the second time Ghaati has faced a delay. It was initially scheduled for release on 18th April 2025. The release was then moved to 11th July, and now, it has been pushed further. The new release date is yet to be announced. The film will have a multilingual release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, making it accessible to audiences across India.

Anushka Shetty’s Work Front

On the work front, Anushka Shetty, who plays the lead role in the Telugu movie, was last seen in the 2023 romantic comedy Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty alongside Naveen Polishetty. Her performance was widely appreciated, and fans are excited to see her back on screen in a powerful and dramatic role.
