South Indian Movies Releasing In July:  Fans of South Indian cinema are in for a cinematic treat as a lineup of emotionally driven and content-rich movies hit the big screen. With star-studded casts and thought-provoking themes, these releases have already generated significant buzz following official announcements by production houses.

From Siddharth and Nithiin to Anushka Shetty and Anjali, here’s a curated list of much-anticipated South movies releasing this July:

3BHK

Written and directed by Sri Ganesh, 3BHK stars Siddharth in his milestone 40th film. The Tamil movie marks the on-screen reunion of Suryavamsam actors R. Sarathkumar and Devayani. Centred around a middle-class family’s heartfelt aspiration to own a home, the film explores themes of ambition, struggle, and emotional resilience. The movie is slated for theatrical release on 4th July 2025.

Akkenam

Directed by Uday K., Akkenam brings back the real-life father-daughter duo Arun Pandian and Keerthi Pandian, who previously shared the screen in Anbirkiniyal. The Tamil movie is a suspenseful thriller that promises tense moments and layered storytelling, with a gripping narrative that unravels secrets within a family setup. The movie is slated for theatrical release on 4th July 2025.

Paranthu Po

Paranthu Po, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Ram, delves into the emotional journey of a father and son on a soul-searching road trip. The film had its world premiere at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and features Mirchi Shiva, Anjali, Grace Antony, and Mithul Rayan in key roles. Phoenix

Stunt choreographer Anl Arasu makes his directorial debut with Phoenix, which also marks the acting debut of Surya, son of popular actor Vijay Sethupathi.
