Armaan Malik Controversy: YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 3 contestant Armaan Malik and his two wives, Payal and Kritika Malik, are in legal trouble after being summoned by a Patiala district court in two separate cases. Reports suggest that the court has issued notices to all three, asking them to appear on 2nd September. The summons follow a petition filed by Davinder Rajput, who alleged that Armaan Malik has not just two, but four marriages. This, the petitioner claims, is a violation of the Hindu Marriage Act, which allows only one marriage at a time for individuals practising Hinduism.

According to a report in Hindustan Live, alongside the bigamy accusations, the petition also charges Armaan and Payal with hurting religious sentiments. It states that Payal dressed as the Hindu goddess Kali in a video posted on Instagram, which led to outrage. The petitioner says this act insulted religious beliefs and is punishable under Indian law. Following the backlash, Armaan and Payal took steps to make amends publicly. On 22nd July, the couple visited the Kali Mata Temple in Patiala, offered prayers, and apologised for their actions. The next day, 23 July, they appeared at another Kali temple in Kharar, Mohali.

At this temple, Payal reportedly undertook a seven-day religious punishment. This included cleaning the temple premises and performing various rituals. The couple then travelled to Haridwar, where they met Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Kailashanand Giri of the Niranjani Akhara to seek forgiveness. During this period, Payal’s health worsened, and she had to be hospitalised in Mohali.

Who Is Armaan Malik?

Armaan Malik, whose real name is Sandeep, comes from Hisar, Haryana. Before becoming a social media personality, he worked at a private bank. Later, he moved to Delhi, where he began creating content and slowly rose to fame. He gained nationwide attention when he entered Bigg Boss OTT Season 3 on 21 June 2024, along with both his wives. The trio quickly became known for their unconventional family arrangement and frequent appearances on social media.

Since their time in the reality show, Armaan, Payal, and Kritika have remained in the headlines for both their lifestyle and various controversies with this latest legal trouble adding another chapter to their ongoing public drama.
