Bigg Boss is all set to return with its 19th season this year, and fans couldn’t be more excited. The popular reality show will stream on JioCinema and also air on Colors TV. Once again, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is back as the host, bringing his well-known witty humour, sharp remarks, and emotional interactions to the screen. But this time, it’s not just the show that’s making headlines—it’s also Salman Khan’s rumoured pay for hosting the season.
Can you guess how much Salman Khan is being paid this time? As per several reports, he earned around Rs 250 crore for hosting Bigg Boss Season 18. Now, sources claim that his fee may go beyond Rs 300 crore for Bigg Boss 19. This would make it the highest payment ever made to a television host in India. A report in Siasat mentioned that Salman charged nearly Rs 60 crore per month during the last season, which clearly shows why he remains the highest-paid star on Indian television.
Interestingly, there are also rumours suggesting that Salman may not host the entire season this time. The makers are reportedly planning to bring in other big names like Karan Johar, Farah Khan, or even Anil Kapoor to take over hosting duties for a few weeks. Salman, however, is expected to return for the grand finale.
Bigg Boss 19 Theme
Bigg Boss 19 comes with a brand new theme called ‘Rewind.’ This season will focus on reviving old memories and bringing back elements from earlier seasons, but with exciting twists. One of the biggest changes is reportedly the addition of a robot contestant. For the first time ever, a non-human contestant named Habubu will enter the house. Habubu is an AI-powered humanoid doll from the UAE. She is designed to speak in seven different languages, including Hindi, and can show emotional reactions. Her entry is expected to shake up the game and bring in something completely unique.
Bigg Boss 19 Tentative Contestant List
The list of expected contestants is as surprising as ever. Names like Krishna Shroff, Raj Kundra, Mamta Kulkarni, Munmun Dutta, Dheeraj Dhoopar, and YouTuber Flying Beast (Gaurav Taneja) are being considered. However, not everyone is on board. Celebs like Purav Jha, Anshula Kapoor, and Jannat Zubair are said to have declined the offer, claiming they are not mentally ready for the show’s intense format. Even actor Ram Kapoor joked that no amount of money could convince him to join what he called a ‘circus.’
Bigg Boss 19 is shaping up to be the boldest season yet. From Salman Khan’s jaw-dropping salary to the introduction of an AI housemate, everything about this season screams bigger and better. With drama, surprises, and unexpected turns on the way, fans can look forward to an unforgettable season. Bigg Boss 19 is expected to premiere in the last week of August 2025.
