Earlier this week, the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) ordered the closure of the studio where Bigg Boss Kannada 12 was being filmed. According to reports, the KSPCB accused the show’s makers of violating environmental rules during the grand premiere episode. The board directed the channel and production team to halt filming immediately, putting the future of the popular reality show in doubt.

However, the situation took a positive turn on Wednesday (October 8), when host Kiccha Sudeep confirmed that Bigg Boss Kannada 12 would continue to air on Colors Kannada. Taking to social media, the actor expressed gratitude to Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar for his timely intervention. In his tweet, Sudeep wrote, “I sincerely thank Hon. @DKShivakumar sir for the timely support. Also want to thank the concerned authorities for acknowledging that Bigg Boss Kannada was not involved or responsible for the recent chaos. I appreciate the DCM for promptly responding to my call, and I thank Nalpad for his dedicated efforts. #BBK12 is here to stay.”

Following his statement, both the channel and the production house breathed a sigh of relief. They assured fans that all issues had been resolved and that the season would continue without interruption. According to a report in Filmibeat, Colors Kannada aims to make Bigg Boss Kannada 12 “a rollercoaster ride filled with drama, emotions, and thrill.” The source also revealed that the team has taken things “a notch higher” this year, introducing more twists and challenges for the contestants.

Meanwhile, the biggest highlight of the season is the return of Kiccha Sudeep as the host. After earlier confirming his exit post-Bigg Boss Kannada 11, his comeback has delighted fans. Known as the face of the franchise, Sudeep’s return adds immense star power and excitement to the show. The competition inside the house is heating up. Last week saw a shocking double elimination as RJ Amith and Karibasappa were evicted. The voting lines for the next eviction round are now open on JioHotstar. Contestants nominated this week include Rakshita Shetty, Malu Nipanal, Spandana, Abhishek Shrikanth, Ashwini, Dhanush Gowda, and Manju Bhashini.
