Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9: Vijay Sethupathi hosted Bigg Boss Tamil, Season 9 for the ninth season, which debuted on Sunday, October 5 at 6 PM. Not simply a melting pot, this year's Bigg Boss Tamil house features a wide range of personalities, backgrounds, and abilities. The 21 competitors in the official roster include a carefully chosen mix of TV celebrities, social media influencers, performers, and innovative trailblazers.

Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9 features a split arrangement, with some competitors living in the opulent Super Deluxe home with exclusive benefits and others enduring the hardships of the regular Bigg Boss cabin. The first nomination kickstarted with contestants keeping their names without any hesitation.

Bigg Boss Tamil 9 Nominated Contestants

Diwakar received 7 votes, while Kalaiyarasan, who received 12 votes, the highest nominations for eviction. Viyana, Aadhirai, Apsara CJ, and Praveen Raj Dev each received 3 votes, followed by Praveen Gandhi with 4 . Out of the 20 participants, 7 were nominated for the eviction process the first week of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9.

Many of the players who nominated Kalaiyarasan expressed their opinion that he was not competitive since he didn't interact well with the other house members and didn't grasp the gravity of the game. Contestants criticised Diwakar for being more preoccupied with establishing his reputation as the 'watermelon star' rather than participating in the game.
