Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 6: The high-octane war drama Border 2, starring Sunny Deol, has begun to show signs of exhaustion at the Indian box office. Following a triumphant opening weekend that coincided with the Republic Day festivities, the film witnessed a significant drop in ticket sales on its sixth day. While the film initially took the box office by storm, industry trackers suggest that the post-holiday period is proving challenging. The Wednesday figures indicate a cooling period for the sequel, which is a spiritual successor to the 1997 cult classic Border.
According to reports, on Wednesday day 6, Border 2 collected Rs 13 crore. Data from industry analysts at Sacnilk reveals that the overall Hindi occupancy for the film stood at 16.78% on Wednesday, 28 January 2026. For comparison, the film peaked on Republic Day Monday with a staggering Rs 63.59 crore in a single day. Despite the recent dip, Border 2 remains a powerhouse in the "patriotic action" genre. It comfortably outpaced Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter (Rs 39.5 crore) and Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force (Rs 31.60 crore) during their respective holiday windows. However, the film is facing stiff competition from the new Ranveer Singh starrer, Dhurandhar, which reportedly earned Rs 27 crore on the same day, nearly doubling the collection of Border 2 on Wednesday.

Directed by Anurag Singh and produced by T-Series and J.P. Films, Border 2 draws inspiration from the historical 1971 India-Pakistan conflict. The ensemble cast features a mix of veteran stars and young talent, including Sunny Deol reprising his role as a military leader, Ahan Shetty, Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh. The movie also features Sonam Bajwa, and Mona Singh in pivotal roles.
