BTS members RM and V made a thunderous comeback after formally completing their military service on June 10th, 2025. RM arrived playing the saxophone, while V held bouquets and greeted the media. V (Kim Taehyung) and RM  (Kim Namjoon) began their military service in December 2023. They were greeted with loud cheers and applause at the Sports Park in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province.

BTS RM and V issued a statement about their comeback plans that threw ARMYs all over the world into a pool of emotions."We’ll hurry and make an album, and return to the stage - soon, real soon," echoed the words. They also responded to questions about their plans shortly after their military release during the media address.

BTS RM said, "I believe it'd be the same thing - perform," to which V added, "Perform." RM shared excitedly, "We want to have a concert, perform on stage. We'll hurry and make an album, and return to the stage." V expressed his joy, saying, "Soon, real soon."

BTS RM and V also reflected back upon their time at the military camps, as per Korea Times. BTS group leader said, "I came to realise that there are so many people protecting the country in our place. It’s thanks to those who defend the nation on the front lines that we were able to continue our activities (sic)." He also revealed that he got closer to his father and his friends during his military service and even connected well with his fellow soldiers.

RM also spoke warmly of his fellow servicemen while expressing concerns for his junior who are still serving their mandatory military service. He offered his heartfelt gratitude to his fans and said, "ARMY, thank you so much for waiting. I will now return to society and resume my activities as BTS’s RM. I’m truly grateful to everyone who waited for me (sic)."

For the unversed, BTS RM and V are the third and fourth members to finish their service after Jin and JHope. On June 11, Jungkook and Jimin followed, and on June 21, SUGA (who was working as a social worker) will be released. All seven of the members will soon be reunited, after much anticipation. However, for the time being, the return of RM and V heralds the start of a new era, one that is full of performances, promise, and the kind of bond that only BTS and ARMY can have.
