Urvashi Rautela made a dazzling appearance at the 78th Cannes Film Festival. The actress walked the red carpet on Tuesday for the opening ceremony. She opted for a vibrant outfit, photos and videos of which have been doing rounds on social media. While some have been praising her appearance at Cannes 2025, others shared funny reactions.
What caught netizens’ attention was Urvashi’s parrot-shaped crystal-embedded clutch which she paired with her colourful gown. According to an Instagram page Diet Sabya, the clutch is made by Judith Leiber and it costs $5,495 ( Rs 4,68,064.10). Take a look:

An X user reacted to her outfit and wrote, “urvashi rautela the first woman to ever go on cannes looking horrible with a parrot puppet,” another one wrote, “Love the unbothered energy of the photographers in the background,” a person commented, “The parrot is actually cute but she’s giving Rio Carnival float,” a user wrote, “I have a strong feeling that everyone who works for her low-key hates her coz WHAT IS THIS,” others also dropped similar comments.
About Cannes Film Festival: Cannes organisers have announced a new dress code that attendees must follow at the gala screenings at the Grand Théâtre Lumière.
“For the Grand Theatre Lumiere gala screenings taking place around 7 and 10 PM, which are attended by the artistic teams, evening wear (long dress, tuxedo) is required. Alternatively, you may also wear ‘a little black dress’, a cocktail dress, a dark-colored pantsuit, a dressy top with black pants; elegant shoes and sandals with or without a heel (no sneakers); a black or navy-blue suit with bow-tie or dark-coloured tie,” the official account of Cannes Film Festival stated.
