Cocktail 2 Update: After much speculation about the lead cast of Cocktail 2, director Homi Adajania recently confirmed Rashmika Mandanna, Shahid Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon. The sequel to Cocktail (2012), a modern-day love triangle starring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty, is officially in the works. The original film was applauded for its storyline centred around friendship and romance, its music, and the performances. Cocktail 2 has been grabbing attention, with the director sharing BTS moments of the lead cast. Once again, Homi Adajania has dropped new glimpses of Rashmika, Shahid and Kriti, sparking excitement among fans.

Taking to his Instagram story, Homi Adanania shared a series of photos featuring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna from the sets. In the first photo, Rashmika can be seen posing with celebrity stylist and Homi's wife, Anaita Shroff Adajania. The post was captioned, "Shiny happy jet lagged people." The next picture captures a close-up of Shahid. Kriti can be seen with an intense look. Sharing her image, Adanania wrote, "On the inside looking out." Check out post below:
Reportedly, the team of Cocktail 2 have reached an international location for the shoot. Shahid has wrapped his film Vishal Bhardwaj's O’Romeo. Kriti also completed shooting for her upcoming movie Tere Ishq Mein with Dhanush.
Besides Cocktail, Rashmika Mandanna has several projects in the pipeline.

The highly anticipated sequel is backed by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films and written by Luv Ranjan. Homi Adajania has kept the details about the plot under wraps. The makers of Cocktail 2 are aiming for a theatrical release in the second half of 2026. Earlier, Homi’s wife, Anaita, shared glimpses of the sequel's script on her Instagram story, which went viral on social media. The original movie was a commercial hit, despite mixed critical reviews from critics and audiences. Due to high demand, Cocktail was re-released in theatres on May 30, 2025.
