After exit from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit, Deepika Padukone stirred controversy after her exit from Kalki 2898 AD Part 2. According to reports by Telugu news portal, The Aakashavaani, Padukone asked the makers of Kalki 2 to double her remuneration in comparison to what she was paid for the first part. Days after controversy, actress' Bhumi Pednekar and Tabu have reacted to the controversy.
Bhumi Pednekar showed interest in Deepika Padukone's project King with Shah Rukh Khan by liking her Instagram post about starting the shoot. Meanwhile, Tabu liked a post that seemed to hint at controversy surrounding Deepika Padukone's exit from certain projects, Kalki and Spirit. The post included a clip of Aamir Khan discussing how producers aren't responsible for paying an actor's entourage, leaving room for speculation about the nature of Deepika's exit from these films.
King, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, is set to be directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment. The film is expected to be a thrilling action drama, with Deepika playing a significant role alongside Shah Rukh Khan.

Makers announce Deepika Padukone's exit from Kalki 2898 AD Part 2
The makers of Prabhas-starrer took to their official X handle and announced Deepika’s exit from the movie. The announcement hinted that Deepika is no longer a part of the project because a film like Kalki "deserves commitment".
"This is to officially announce that @deepikapadukone will not be a part of the upcoming sequel of #Kalki2898AD. After careful consideration, we have decided to part ways. Despite the long journey of making the first film, we were unable to find a partnership. And a film like @Kalki2898AD deserves that commitment and much more. We wish her the best with her future works," it read.
