Manya Anand, as reported by India Today, recounted that after she initially refused manager Sreyas's proposition, he persisted by asking, "You will not comply even if it's Dhanush sir?" She stood firm, reasserting her boundaries and disapproval of his conduct. Following her refusal, Sreyas reportedly contacted her multiple times, sending her the location of Dhanush's production company, Wunderbar Films, and even forwarding a script. When questioned about the script, Manya stated, "No, I did not read it. I am not doing the film." She emphasized that artists should be taken for their work and nothing else. "We're artists. We are doing some other work. You take work from us but don't expect something else in return. If we comply with your demands, then we'd be named something else. I think it'd be better if people recognised this pattern and sorted it out," she added, highlighting the need for people to recognise and address such predatory behaviour in the industry.
