Mrunal Thakur and Dhanush are rumoured to be the new couple of Tinseltown. Ever since their video of holding each other’s hands at Thakur’s birthday party went viral, it sparked dating rumours. Not only that, the South superstar also appeared at Mrunal’s latest film Son of Sardaar 2’s premiere, where they could be seen together for the first time publicly. This also ignited the flames of their relationship speculations. Amid this, an old video of the actress has been going viral on social media, where she is all praise for Dhanush.

In an interview with News18, Mrunal was asked about his favourite actor and without a blink, the actress named Dhanush. The actress said, “I really enjoy watching Dhanush’s movie. 'Sir' is the latest film that I watched, and I really enjoyed his performance.” The video is from an event in 2023.
There are several dots that fans are linking to Dhanush and Mrunal’s rumoured relationship. Apart from the actress’s birthday party and her latest film premiere, some eagle-eyed fans spotted a shared Spotify list titled ‘Mama’s Favs’, which people believe it includes songs linked to Mrunal.

Hold on! The buzz has grown stronger after Mrunal reportedly followed Dhanush’s elder sisters on Instagram and they followed her back. Fans are now wondering if the actress has already been introduced to Dhanush’s family. However, some recent reports claimed that the relationship is new and they are trying to keep it low-key.

Some reports also suggested that Mrunal’s work commitment in the South film industry played a huge part in bringing her and Dhanush closer together. A recent source told News18 that the two are indeed dating but it is in the early stages. It also stated that they are not planning to make it official or hide it either.

Dhanush was earlier married to Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwaryaa. They were together for 18 years before calling it quits officially in 2022. Their divorce was finalised in November 2024. They had two sons together Yatra and Linga.
