Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, who have been rumored to be dating for a number of years, are reportedly engaged. The two were rumoured to be dating since they initially collaborated on the 2018 blockbuster Geetha Govindam and the 2019 movie Dear Comrade. The actor was seen showing off his engagement ring on social media on Friday as rumours of the couple's engagement made headlines.

Vijay Deverakonda made his first public appearance with his family at Sri Sathya Sai Baba's Maha Samadhi after rumours of their engagement began making waves. The actor, spotted in a a casual t-shirt, sunglasses whilst flaunting his moustache, was greeted with a bouquet. Amidst this, eagle eyed followers immediately saw that he was wearing an engagement ring on his ring finger.

Rashmika Mandanna avoided mentioning the engagement directly in her first post following the rumours, instead concentrating on her career and showcasing behind-the-scenes photos from her upcoming project Thamma.

Vijay Deverakonda's team has acknowledged the news that the couple got engaged in a secret ceremony at his Hyderabad home on Friday, October 3, in front of close family members, even though the couple has not yet issued an official confirmation.

Rashmika Mandanna's most recent appearance was in the movie Kuberaa, which also starred Dhanush and Nagarjuna in prominent parts. Her next appearance will be in Thamma, Maddock's horror-comedy universe movie. The movie, which is slated to hit theaters on Diwali 2025, also stars Paresh Rawal, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Ayushmann Khurrana in key parts. She will also be seen opposite Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in Cocktail 2. 

Most recently, Vijay Deverakonda starred in the movie Kingdom, which also starred Satyadev and BhagyashreeBorse. It was directed by GowtamTinnanuri and produced by Sai Soujanya and Naga Vamsi under the auspices of Fortune Four Cinemas and Sithara Entertainments.
