Don 3 is one of the most anticipated action-thriller movies of the year and is currently in the works. Farhan Akhtar is bringing the third instalment with new Don Ranveer Singh with familiar faces from the hit franchise. As buzz surrounds the casting of the female lead, rumours have circulated online that actor Vijay Deverakonda had been roped in to play the antagonist opposite Ranveer. However, the latest reports suggest that he has turned down the offer and is focusing on his upcoming Telugu projects.

Vijay Deverakonda To Star in Don 3?

Vijay made his entry in Bollywood with Liger alongside Ananya Pandey, but ended up receiving a low reception at the box office. However, speculations surrounding his involvement in Don 3 generated excitement among Vijay's fans, especially for a negative role.

It seems like Vijay has no plan to work in Hindi films at present. A recent report from Gulte suggests that the actor was indeed approached for the antagonist's role in Don 3. However, he has politely turned down the offer. The report also mentions that the actor is currently focused on his upcoming Telugu projects and is quite selective with his Bollywood scripts.

Helmed by Farhan Akhtar, Don 3 is reportedly slated to go on floors by January 2026. In terms of casting, Kiara Advani, who was previously rumoured to have been dropped from this project due to her pregnancy, is expected to rejoin the cast. There are rumours surrounding Priyanka Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan, who are said to make special appearances. Kriti Sanon's name has been topping the list for the female lead opposite Ranveer in the movie.

Vijay Deverakonda's Upcoming Projects

Vijay is gearing up for the release of his much-awaited movie Kingdom. After facing several delays, the film is scheduled to release on July 31. This Telugu action thriller film is written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and also stars Bhagyashri Borse and Satyadev. It is backed by S Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas.
