Dining With The Kapoors Trailer Out: The trailer for Dining With The Kapoors has officially been released, giving viewers a warm and lively glimpse into one of Bollywood’s most iconic film families. The Netflix special marks 100 years of the legendary filmmaker and actor Raj Kapoor, while also honouring the legacy of his father, Prithviraj Kapoor. The unscripted documentary brings together several generations of the Kapoor clan, including Randhir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Rima Jain, Ranbir Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, and Aadar Jain. As Kareena Kapoor describes her family as ‘funny, loving, and united,’ the trailer sets the tone for a warm reunion packed with memories and laughter.
Dining With The Kapoors trailer features several candid moments that instantly caught fans’ attention. Neetu Kapoor jokingly calls Kareena the ‘dramatic’ one in the family, while Ranbir Kapoor reveals a playful kitchen moment involving his cousin, teasing that Armaan ‘got burnt’ while cooking. These clips highlight the natural chemistry and comfort that the family shares in front of the camera. The special has been conceptualised by Armaan Jain and directed by Smriti Mundhra, who has previously worked with Netflix on Indian Matchmaking, Never Have I Ever, and The Romantics.

Speaking about the project, Smriti Mundhr said, “I’ve been lucky to work with Netflix a few times before, on Indian Matchmaking, Never Have I Ever, and The Romantics, so coming back to do this project is like a homecoming in more ways than one.” She added, “The Kapoors are not just a Bollywood dynasty, but the type of family we all want to be a part of, extremely tight, fun-loving, and absolutely obsessed with food.” Director Smriti Mundhra also shared her intention behind shaping the documentary, explaining that she wanted to bring out the essence of being at the table with the family. She said, “What I wanted to capture wasn’t just their story on the surface, but that feeling of being right there at the table with them, hearing the stories, the laughter, the unfiltered moments that happen when the performance drops away. I’m grateful to Armaan Jain and the entire Kapoor clan for allowing me to be a small part of their legacy.”

Alia Bhatt’s Absence In Dining With The Kapoors Trailer
While the trailer has been widely praised, many fans noticed that Alia Bhatt was not present in the family gathering. This led to a wave of comments online, with viewers asking, “Where is Alia?” Several users expressed disappointment, noting that she is rarely seen at major Kapoor family events. One user commented, “Why is Alia never a part of Kapoor things. She is never scene in Ganpati visarjan too,” while another added, “Alia is also a Kapoor now, where is she. I hope it's a surprise and not an absence.” Despite the curiosity surrounding her absence, the excitement for the documentary remains high. The documentary will stream on Netflix on 21st November.
