Kriti Sanon, renowned for her versatile performances in Bollywood movies like Mimi, Do Patti, and Crew, was recently spotted outside Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment office in Mumbai. This sighting has sparked widespread speculation that Kriti could be joining Don 3 as the female lead opposite Ranveer Singh. While no official announcement has been made, the meeting has certainly raised eyebrows, especially amid rumours of Kiara Advani stepping away from the project following her pregnancy.
According to a report by Zoom, "Kriti is currently shooting for her upcoming film Tere Ishk Mein and will begin work on her next big project, which she hasn’t officially revealed yet. The actress has a busy schedule this year, juggling multiple projects back-to-back and is booked for at least a year." This suggests that Kriti may indeed be gearing up for Don 3, though nothing has been officially confirmed so far.

Earlier reports have indicated that Don 3 is expected to start filming in September 2025. Ranveer Singh, taking on the iconic role originally portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan and later Shah Rukh Khan, is set to begin the first schedule alongside Vikrant Massey, who is reportedly playing the antagonist. If confirmed, Kriti joining this high-profile franchise would mark a significant step forward in her illustrious cinematic career.
Don 3 was originally slated to commence production last year but faced several delays. According to a report in News18, Farhan Akhtar is currently wrapping up his ongoing project 120 Bahadur, while Ranveer Singh has completed substantial portions of Dhurandar. These factors have pushed the Don 3 production to begin in September, with Ranveer Singh and Vikrant Massey confirmed in lead roles.
Meanwhile, Kriti Sanon has been broadening her horizons across genres—from rom-coms to thrillers. In 2024, she appeared in two box office successes: Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya opposite Shahid Kapoor, and Crew, where she starred alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tabu. She also made her debut as a producer with Do Patti, which premiered on Netflix.
