Kajol Rejected 3 Idiots: One of the most well-known actresses in Indian cinema, Kajol, is preparing for the release of her next movie, Maa, which is a mythological horror thriller that was co-produced by Ajay Devgn and Kumar Mangat Pathak. Kajol made a candid confession about rejecting down multiple films, including one that went down to become a blockbuster, while promoting the Vishal Furia directorial, Maa.

Kajol was questioned in a recent interview with Pinkvilla if she ever finds it hard to turn down film offers and if she has ever turned down projects that ended up becoming box office successes. "It doesn’t even take a blink for me. I don't bother much before saying no to anything I don’t like," she said.

When pressed for a specific example, Kajol stated that among the movies, one was Rajkumar Hirani's 3 Idiots. "Lots of times. Prime example is 3 Idiots,” she continued." The 2009 movie led by Aamir Khan, also starred R Madhavan and Sharman Joshi. Kareena Kapoor Khan ultimately portrayed the part offered to Kajol. The Rajkumar Hirani directed is still a favourite among fans, 3 Idiots was the first Indian movie to gross over Rs 300 crore at the domestic box office.

She does, however, maintain that there is no regret in passing up these chances. Indeed, she thinks every movie finds its right artist. "I feel that those films were theirs, you know, jaise bolte hain na jiska likha hua hai usko hi milta hai... toh I think that I have done very well for myself without them," she added.

Earlier in an interview with Hindustan Times, Kajol revealed why she turned down Aamir Khan-Rajkumar Hirani's movie. "When Raju Hirani came to me with the script, I said I’d do the film if I were given the lead role (played by Aamir Khan) or at least one of the other two main male leads. Raju thought I was joking, but I wasn’t. I didn’t have much to do in the role that was offered to me (eventually played by Kareena Kapoor Khan). I wouldn’t have felt happy doing that film," she disclosed.
