Emraan Hashmi is back on the sets of his upcoming movie They Call Him OG starring Pawan Kalyan after recovering from dengue. The actor was diagnosed with dengue on May 28, 2025, and took some time off from the shooting. Now, the actor shared his health update and revealed that he is back in action. The OG movie marks Hashmi's Telugu debut. He will be seen playing a pivotal role in Pawan Kalyan starrer.
Emraan Hashmi Recovers From Dengue
Emraan Hashmi, in a statement, updated everyone about his health and the shooting of his upcoming film. He said, “I am back in action, and it feels good! I took some time off to recover from dengue, but now I am fully recovered and back on set. A big thank you to everyone for all the love and thoughtful messages! I am excited to get back to the hustle and bring something exciting to the screen soon."

Emraan was shooting in Mumbai for They Call Him OG, when he got unwell. He experienced symptoms of Dengue and took break to recover from illness.

About OG Movie: The upcoming Telugu actioner is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Besides Emraan and Pawan Kalyan, the movie also stars Priyanka Mohan, Shaan Kakkar, Prakash Raj and Shreya Reddy, among many others. Written and directed by Sujeeth and bankrolled by D.V.V. Danayya of DVV Entertainment. They Call Him OG is slated to hit theatres on September 25. The story revolves around a ruthless gangster Ojas Gambheera aka OG who returns to Mumbai after his ten-year disappearance, to kill another crime boss, Omi Bhau (Emraan Hashmi). The face-off between Emraan and Pawan Kalyan has left fans excited.
Meanwhile, Emraan Hashmi is currently garnering praise for his performance in the military thriller Ground Zero. The movie made its theatrical debut on April 25. It is all set to make its digital premiere soon.
