Farah Khan Recalls Salman Khan Waited Four Hours To Watch Dharmendra’s Dance On Deewangi Deewangi Song

As Dharmendra is on the road to recovery, Farah Khan shared a heartwarming story about the veteran actor and Salman Khan. The filmmaker revealed a behind-the-scenes incident while filming the iconic song Deewangi Deewangi from Om Shanti Om. During the shooting of the song, Farah recalled when Dharmendra was giving his shot, Salman and other stars jumped into the frame. She added that it was not planned as they were waiting to see the veteran actor’s shot for four hours.

Speaking to the Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA), Farah recalled, “There is a shot where Dharam ji is dancing, and Salman and others jump in. That wasn’t planned. They were standing behind the camera because they had waited for four hours in Shah Rukh’s van just to watch Dharam ji’s shot. And while he was dancing, they just jumped into the frame!”

The spontaneous moment made it to the final cut. It featured Salman Khan, Dharmendra, Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan and others. Khan’s admiration is not limited just to the screen but he was recently spotted outside Breach Candy Hospital, where Dharmendra was hospitalised. The stars worked together in several movies like Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya. Salman Khan also made cameo appearances in Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se and Tell Me O Khuda.

On the work front, Salman Khan will be next seen in Battle of Galwan. The upcoming war drama is based on the events that took place between the Indian and Chinese troops at the Galwan region on June 15, 2020. It was when 200 Indian soldiers bravely defended their territory against a force of 1200 Chinese Liberation Army soldiers. The movie stars Chitrangda Singh, Abhilash Chaudhary, Ankur Bhatia, Zeyn Shaw, Siddharth Mooley, Heera Sohal, Vipin Bhardwaj, Abhishree Sen and Nirbhay Chaudhary in pivotal roles.

Dharmendra, who got discharged from the hospital, is set to feature in Ikkis. The movie also features Agastya Nanda, Jaideep Ahlawat, Ekavali Khanna, Shree Bishnoi and Sikandar Kher in significant roles. Poster of Ikkis has already been released. Now, the movie is expected to be released in December this year. However, the exact date is yet to be disclosed.
