Farah Khan and her cook Dilip have become an online sensation with their popular YouTube channel, which features them visiting celebrity homes for hilarious cooking adventures. The dynamic duo's playful banter is what attracts the viewers. Dilip is known for his quick wit and mock defiance and often teases Farah, who mockingly pulls his leg in return. The duo share a playful and loving bond that has charmed internet audiences. Their connection transcends the traditional employer-employee dynamic; Farah treats Dilip just like a family member. Their genuine camaraderie is a major reason their online cooking videos have become such a viral hit. The duo recently visited entrepreneur Ashneer Grover’s house, where Faraha Khan revealed Dilip’s first-ever salary from her.
Farah Khan and Dilip gave the viewers a complete tour of Ashneer and Madhuri’s (his wife) house and even learnt to cook Arbi ke Patte ke Pakode and bread rolls. As they were cooking, Ashneer’s mother revealed that Dilip had shared with her how he visited Delhi for a job that paid Rs 300 back in those days. Farah Khan then quickly quipped, “Toh mere pass jab aaya tha toh seedha 20,000 se kyun chaalu kiya? (So when you came to me, why did you start directly with 20,000?)”
Ashneer’s wife Madhuri added, “Because he knew you are Farah Khan.” The director later hinted that Dilip’s current salary is a lot and said, “Chaalu kiya tha 20,000 se ab toh pucho hi mat (It started with 20,000, so don’t even ask now).” For those who are not regular viewers of Farah Khan’s vlogs, Dilip often jokes and asks the movie director to increase his salary.
Interestingly, during a recent vlog made at Shruti Haasan’s house, the actress asked Farah if Dilip gets extra pay or a cut from the earnings of their YouTube vlog. Farah agreed and added that he earns much more than everybody in the room. Farah also revealed that she is supporting her cook’s children as she has enrolled them in an English-medium school and is getting one of them a culinary diploma.
