After Ranveer Allahbadia’s India’s Got Latent controversy, several Bollywood celebrities reportedly claimed that they rejected the invitation to appear on his podcast, The Ranveer Show. Now, breaking his silence on this matter, the podcaster shared that these celebrities were not invited by him. Sharing his feelings, Ranveer felt angry because of these claims, which are untrue. However, Allahbadia later realised that it was the result of his own actions. But he believes in changing the future and trying to move on from the past incidents.

In an interview with Prafful Garg, Ranveer Allahbadia said, “It was a feeding frenzy. Some celebrities claimed that they’d even rejected an invite to the show. The truth is that we never invited them in the first place. In such situations, I felt angry at human beings in general. But I realised that the predicament that I was in was a result of my own actions.”

“I couldn’t change the past, but I could change the future. I got a forced break after a crazy, intense six-year podcasting journey. I’m just trying to move on; I’ve tried to forgive a lot of people, even myself, and to a degree, I’ve been successful,” he added.

About India’s Got Latent Controversy

Ranveer Allahbadia faced massive backlash following his ‘parent sex’ remark in an episode of Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent Controversy. He was seen asking a question to a contestant, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once to make it stop forever?” At that time, the other panellists, Apporva Mukhija, Ashish Chanchlani, laughed at this statement, but it did not go well with the audience. This led to massive online backlash and led to FIRs registered against Ranveer and Samay.

After the National Commission for Women (NCW) stepped into this matter, Ranveer then had to submit a written apology. The Supreme Court has granted Ranveer interim bail but called his remarks ‘vulgar’. He was also accused of having a ‘dirty mind’ that shamed society.

Ranveer has now made his comeback to his podcast show. Big Bollywood celebrities like Boman Irani, Shruti Haasan and Tara Sutaria have recently appeared as guests.
